Wildeklawer is the proud sponsor of the Wildeklawer Netball and Rugby tournament that is hosted on the premises of HS Diamantveld in Kimberley from the 27th of April until the 30th of April 2012. The tournament is just one of the numerous ways in which Wildeklawer provides both the exposure and opportunities that is required by young athletes belonging to various schools from across South Africa.

WILDEKLAWER - BEHIND OUR FUTURE CHAMPIONS
Besides all our fresh produce, there's at least two more things we at Wildeklawer are passionate about: sport and the development of South Africa's youth. Therefore, we decided to combine these passions into the Wildeklawer Youth Sport Developement initiative that, in turn, has given birth to the Super Schools rugby and netball school activities. Wildeklawer is looking forward to 'growing' South Africa's future rugby and netball stars!

History;
After a very successful third hosting of the Wildeklawer Super Schools Tournament at Diamantveld Hoërskool in 2011, we are now very exited to present to you the tournament proposal for the 2012 event. The Tournament EXCO has decided to host the Tournament at Diamantveld Hoërskool in Kimberley again in 2012 after their very successful hosting of the event in 2011. The South African rugby and netball supporters will again see full games and top class schoolboy rugby and girls netball when the top 18 selected Rugby schools and the top 12 selected Netball schools in our country play against each other. Some of these schools have never played against each other because of their annual busy schedules. The event will again be the highlight sporting event on SuperSport and on the school calendar’s for these top schools and will contribute tremendously towards opportunities for the sponsors, selected schools and players. Many top players do not get the opportunity to be selected for their provinces or rugby academies unless they participate in a Craven Week or other competitions. This tournament is again fully endorsed by SA Rugby and SA Netball and will showcase top derby’s that will show skill and class and will definitely again contribute towards rugby and netball development in South Africa. We would like to see top school’s rugby and netball matches showcasing strength versus strength and would not like to see one team trashing the other.
Main Sponsor;
The main sponsor and secondary sponsor for the event for the fourth and third consecutive years are Wildeklawer and ABSA Bank. Wildeklawer as the main sponsor has the full naming rights of the Tournament. The name of the Tournament in 2012 will be Wildeklawer Super Schools.
Protecta (Pty) Ltd – Marketing and Media
Protecta (Pty) Ltd has been mandated to assist in securing, subsidiary sponsorships, negotiations with the Tournament Director and to do the print media coverage for the event. They will also ensure a creative approach for television production, imaging and format for broadcast together with the Tournament EXCO.
SuperSport;
Possibility of Live coverage of all the (7) seven rugby matches played on Monday, 30 April 2012 and a live Super Rugby broadcast from Diamantveld Hoërskool on Monday evening at 20H30. We have agreed to also record and edit (9) nine 54 minute rugby highlight packages of the rugby matches played and (6) six 26 minute Netball matches played during the event. All the highlight packages will be scheduled to be broadcasted on SuperSport following the weeks after the completion of the Tournament.

Format:
The tournament will consist of 18 rugby schools who will play 2 games each over the 2 days of the Tournament. The Netball matches are played on a knock- out basis over the 2 days of the Tournament.
Build-up – A short background through a pre-recorded promo package (5 minutes) of each school participating will be broadcasted before the tournament. Interviews with head coach on strong points etc. A Man of the Match announcement after each match
- Each winning and losing Captain will be interviewed after the match
- Best percentage kicker after each day
- Best player of the series – Super Rugby & Netball announcement on Super Rugby ?????

Saturday – 28 April 2012 – 9 Rugby matches and 24 Netball matches
Monday – 30 April 2012 – 6 Rugby matches live on SuperSport )
+ 3 matches on B field + 16 Netbal
on B field.
Please note that only (3) three rugby matches will be recorded on Saturday, 28 April 2012 as highlight packages for SuperSport. The final (6) six Netball matches played on Monday, 30 April 2012 will also be recorded as highlight packages on SuperSport. 6 Live rugby games will be broadcasted on Monday.
